Christmas Day 17

December 17th
17 is such a beautiful number! My age, too!

Video of Day 17:
"Whoa whoa whoa.. What has Ed Sheeran got to do with Christmas?"
Er, nothing and everything!
Since Lego house was flying around music stations and ruling radios around Christmas time in 2011, it reminds me and many others of Christmas! Same goes for A team! So close your pretty eyes, put the volume to at least 80 and hit play. And relax!

Shoe Box Trend:
If Christmas is about sharing and giving, not just getting, then do so and give! Not just to your friends and family, but to those in need!

It's Operation Christmas Children, a charity that sends out shoe boxes wrapped up, full of little presents for children who aren't lucky enough to get gifts.

The thing is, you will:
  • Pick shoe box packaging
  • Choose girl/boy and age
  • Add items to the shoe box as followed from the website (each item is differently priced)
Yes Please! We’d love you to choose from each of these 4 categories:
Toys:
 Bear, soft toy, tennis ball, finger puppet, jigsaw, yo-yo, building blocks, small musical instrument.
For boys;
trucks and cars,
for girls;
dolls, clip on earrings, etc.

Educational Supplies:
Felt pens, pens, pencils, pencil sharpener, eraser, colouring book, notepad, picture or puzzle book, chalk, pencil case, stickers, etc.

Hygiene Items:
Toothbrush, toothpaste, hairbrush, comb, hair clips, bar of soap, flannel, etc.

Other Items:
 Sweets (sell-by date to be at least March of the following year), gloves, scarf, sunglasses, cap, hat, bangles, necklaces etc.

All gifts should be new, please include items from each category.
  • Then you can add your name, a sweet message and your photo so the child remembers you by!
  • Fill in your details, card numbber etc. to pay!
  • Then sit back and feel joy that you made a child's Christmas as special as yours - if not more!!
These children don't need iPods and cameras to make them happy - just a comb, a taddy bear or even biro pens will make them the happiest children on the planet!
Please consider this, it should cost you around £15-£20, which including packaging. Remeber, charity so important! Ask your parents to pitch in, or just get your family a little less/ cheaper presents this year. After all, these children need this more!

If you're American, or from any other country, just research shoe box charity on google - something will probably come up for your country that you can help with!
Love you guys! x
